The Launiu’s design will be a showstopper. The concept is driven by a commitment to crafting a look that meshes with O’ahu’s scenic environment. The building’s exterior, surrounded by verdant gardens from the acclaimed landscape design firm VITA, showcases an undulating design, artfully evoking the island’s coastal elements. Clad in white and sand-painted aluminum, the building exudes an unmistakable beachy ambiance. Select residences will feature lanais offering breathtaking views, immersing residents in the idyllic Hawaiian climate.
“The natural beauty of O’ahu served as our primary design inspiration for The Launiu. With the neutral-toned façade and soft rippling exterior created by balconies, we sought to pay homage to the surrounding environment through an interpretative, elemental design that conveys movement, emulating the effects of water, wind, or markings in the sand. The resulting concept is organic yet contemporary,” said Bernardo Fort-Brescia, the founding principal at Arquitectonica.
