The Launiu

Arquitectonica as Architects

For one of their first residential projects in Hawaii, Arquitectonica has designed a building that is fresh, modern and inspired by the island of Oahu, known for its lush green landscape, world famous white beaches and rich blue oceans. Like nature that is always in a state of flux, the facade of The Launiu has been designed to allow for a multitude of interpretations, and evokes the ever changing state of nature, Oahu and the Hawaiian islands.

The project's luxurious interiors will be designed by ODADA and its lush gardens designed by VITA. Many of the residences will feature lanais for an enhanced indoor-outdoor living experience, and residents will enjoy a variety of breathtaking views, including Hawaii’s iconic Diamond Head to the east and incredible ocean views to the west. The project will also feature over 78,300 square feet of resort-style amenities overlooking

Led by Bernardo Fort-Brescia, the architect responsible for Miami's uniquely modern look and feel, Arquitectonica is known for their work on important cultural and civic institutions across Miami like Miami Heat's sports arena and the Atlantis residential project that was featured in the opening credits of the TV show Miami Vice.

Quotes:
“The natural beauty of O’ahu served as our primary design inspiration for The Launiu. With the neutral-toned façade and soft rippling exterior created by balconies, we sought to pay homage to the surrounding environment through an interpretative, elemental design that conveys movement, emulating the effects of water, wind or markings in the sand. The resulting concept is organic yet contemporary.” - Bernardo Fort-Brescia, founding principal at Arquitectonica.

“We are pleased to officially announce The Launiu Ward Village and bring a new, dynamically designed residential offering to Honolulu’s vibrant real estate landscape. We’re dedicated to consistently introducing distinctive residences at Ward Village, a thriving urban island neighborhood on Honolulu’s south shore—one of Hawai’i’s most captivating destinations.” - Doug Johnstone, President of the Hawai’i region for Howard Hughes
